Dhammapada 1:1All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts.
The Name सिद्धार्थ
Siddhartha — from the Sanskrit siddha, “accomplished,” and artha, “aim” or “meaning” — is often rendered “he who has attained his goal.” It was the given name of the man who would become the Buddha: a son of the Śākya clan, born at Lumbini some twenty-five centuries ago, who left a palace to sit beneath a fig tree and simply pay attention.
This small page takes his name not as a claim but as an invitation. The goal here is modest and close at hand: one unhurried breath, then another. Nothing to attain — only something to notice.
